Mountainside is a nationally acclaimed alcohol and drug rehabilitation center, celebrating over 27 years of providing innovative and comprehensive addiction treatment.

What draws people to Mountainside is the wide variety of treatment options available, along with highly individualized care. Each treatment plan is carefully customized based on what fits best for each person, combining evidence-based therapeutic methods with holistic approaches to support recovery on every level. The facility is located at the base of its own private mountain on more than 200 acres at the foothills of the Berkshires in Canaan, Connecticut.
Inpatient Services are offered at 187 South Canaan Road in Canaan, CT, and include a variety of options to meet patients’ needs. The Detox program has 18 beds, while the 35-Day Residential Program offers 70 beds for both male and female residents, ages 18 years old and up. Mountainside Canaan also offers PHP (Partial Hospitalization Program ) and full outpatient services. Extended Care Sober Living services are available with a Men’s Sober Living Home offering 15 beds and a Women’s Sober Living Home offering 5 beds. Included with full clinical and medical services is a unique work program at the Mountainside Café, an integral part of the recovery experience.
Outpatient Services are offered at multiple locations, including 372 Danbury Road in Wilton, CT, and 480 North Bedford Road in Chappaqua, NY. These services include Intensive Outpatient Groups, Relapse Prevention Groups, and Individual Therapy. Medication-Assisted Treatment is also available, including Suboxone, Sublocade, and Vivitrol, along with psychiatric management. In addition, Mountainside employs over 20 Recovery Coaches who works with clients at all levels of care. The Alumni department offers long term engagement and Recovery Events which provide ongoing support for long-term success. Mountainside has 6 outpatient locations to include Canaan & Wilton CT, Chappaqua & New York City NY, Ramsey NJ’ and Huntington LI. Mountainside offers Virtual PHP and IOP groups in 4 states, New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Massachusetts.
Mountainside also offers specialized Adolescent Services, which include assessments, individual therapy, and group sessions, along with Family Therapy and a Family Wellness Programs that provide support to loved ones throughout the recovery process. Free Family Support Groups are open to the community to encourage education and healing for family members and friends.
