Additional Information

An accomplished practitioner with over 20 years of notable credentials and multifaceted expertise, I have learned from clients of all backgrounds and ages that our lives are not defined by what happens to us, but by how we respond to our circumstances. Therapy is about collaboratively finding new and effective responses to life’s challenges.

Utilizing a variety of approaches within the context of a caring relationship, I help adolescents and adults cope with the effects of trauma, divorce, loss, relationship and work dissatisfaction, depression, anxiety, and alcohol and drug abuse. I also support parents and families impacted by their loved one’s dependence on substances.

Known for a thoughtful yet straightforward manner, I offer brief consultations or longer treatment, depending on your goals and concerns. I build on people’s strengths and help them accept their limitations. As a recovery therapist, I work closely with individuals who are recovering from trauma, addiction, or loss.

I also conduct substance abuse evaluations to help individuals and their families determine whether a substance use disorder is present and to decide on the appropriate level of care. In addition, I am a frequently requested public speaker, consult to mental health agencies, supervise other therapists, and provide agency-wide training.
