The CRAFT Approach with Erica Lubetkin, LMHC

I listened to an amazing podcast about how to be a CRAFTY parent. You can find the podcast here, in which Brenda Zane of Hopestream interviews Erica Lubetkin of NYC, a certified CRAFT therapist. CRAFT stands for Community Reinforcement Approach to Family Training, and was originated at the University of New Mexico by Robert Meyers, Ph.D. The CRAFT approach is a system for helping friends and family members change the way that they are interact with an addicted loved one. When you apply the CRAFT approach, you as a family member or friend, learn to stop your engagement in these unhealthy patterns and instead set appropriate boundaries and be consistent with the type of person you want to be. For more about the CRAFT approach, see CMC’s 20-minute Parent Guide here.
