Anxiety is an underlying cause of addiction. Dr. Uma Naidoo strikes a good balance between scientific explanations and practical advice. The book includes recipes and meal plans to calm the mind, and introduces the reader to the concept of nutritional, or functional psychiatry, i.e. using nutrition ahead of prescribing medications. We are looking to address nutrition and recovery in a future Pathway Session and will communicate the event when scheduled.
